Community Builder Bags are specialized care or starter packages distributed during community events by the Guilds of Requiem, Inc.
Designed to support local initiatives, promote self-reliance, and foster community building, these packages provide practical resources, seeds, or essential supplies to attendees and participants. They are handed out during the events to members and guests, featuring items that range from starter gardening supplies, seeds, and other items that are handy around the Homestead or Garden. The September bags reinforce the Self-Reliant Lifestyle beginning with the bag itself. The goal is to fill the bags with as many of the smaller items that you would find in a Go-Bag, from flashlights, to multi-tools, to emergency energy bars.
Community members can help support or contribute to the program by donating items for the bags, volunteering to help prep giveaway items, stuffing bags before events, or participating through the foundation's volunteer and donation programs.
These give away bags are for the March Events. We will already have them stuffed with goodies we have collected through the past year which include any specialty seeds not given away at the previous year's event. Below you will find a "wish list" of items that would be beneficial to our guests in Spring from small gardening tools to discount coupons for area services.
As our average number of guests has increased from the previous events, our "magic" number of give away bags is 400. Do not feel as if you need to fill all 400 of them, as we will see to an equitable distribution of items.
We've made some suggestions below. Feel free to use them, your preferred vendor, or seek a supplier out that fits your budget. You are under no obligation to fill all 400 bags. We will distribute the items equably across all 400 bags.

during the first two weeks of the event month as we assemble the bags the weekend before the event.

Starter Go-Bags
A go-bag is a portable, independent kit designed to sustain an individual or family for at least three days during an unexpected emergency, evacuation, or sudden grid disruption.
Supplying the basics is essential because it lowers the barrier to entry, removing the intimidation of building a complete kit from scratch and giving participants an immediate, tangible starting point to take action.
By equipping community members with these foundational starter items and everyday tools, we bridge the gap between passive awareness and active preparedness, ultimately fostering a stronger, more resilient community where everyone is better prepared to support one another.
